For the protection against…
- Optical radiation during welding
- Flying sparks
- Swarf or as wind protection
Dangers of welding
Arc welding emits ultraviolet radiation which can harm the skin but even more importantly the eyes. In addition to that infrared (heat) radiation is emitted which might cause serious burns on exposed and unprotected body parts. When welding is being done, people in the surrounding area need to be protected against radiation and noise. Lamellar or curtain welding protectors as well as noise protection walls take on these tasks.
UV-sorb welding protection curtains and cabins
A safe system to protect noninvolved people against the danger of harmful optical radiation on the skin and the eyes are UV-sorb welding protection curtains and cabins made by GELA in accordance with DIN/EN 1598. This modular system including curtains, lamellas, C-rails, trestles, trusses, swivel arms, and sliding segments enables a very flexible approach in constructing welding cabins.
Even more comfortably with Sound-sorb
In connection with the LES noise protection system Sound-sorb, welding or grinding workstations can be designed even more comfortably for the workers.
